The forests are not empty

One of the research projects developed in the Intillacta Reserve is the constant wildlife monitoring. Through Trap cameras strategically located in different parts of the forest, small inventories about the diversity of wildlife protected by the Reserve are made.
In recent studies we have recorded the presence of deer (Mazama americana), agouti (Central American agouti), ocelots (Margay), armadillos (Dasypus novemcinctus), kinkajous (Potos flavus) Olingos (Bassaricyon neblina), tayra (Eira barabara), puma (Puma concolor) between several species of birds and small mammals.
Results like these make us happy and motivated not only to continue the important task of protecting the cloud forest, home of these animals, but also restore degraded areas and transform them into a better protected area for even more animals.
Come, enjoy and support this important initiative!
